Our Table Manners


  • Wait for mother to eat before eating.
  • No elbows on the table.
  • Sit up straight.
  • Use bread or knife to push your food onto your fork, not your fingers.
  • Do not speak with your mouth full of food.
  • Take small bites of food.
  • Chew with your mouth closed.
  • Sip a drink, don’t gulp.
  • Don’t reach, ask.
  • Keep used utensils on your plate, not on the table.
  • Keep your free hand in your lap, not on the table.
  • Always offer the last of something to others first.
  • Eat whatever is put in front of you.
  • Ask to be excused before leaving the table.
